Elevate Your Opportunity to Earn Your AA Degree Debt Free: 2021-2022 Ģý Scholarships Application Now Open
Mar 3, 2021
MARCH 3, 2021 – FORT MYERS, FLA – The Florida SouthWestern State College (Ģý) 2021-2022 scholarship application has opened for new and current Ģý students.
Along with federal and state scholarships and grants, Ģý also offers Institutional and Presidential Scholarships available only to eligible Ģý students. Through the assistance of these scholarships, 70 percent of Ģý students are able to graduate debt free.
“While we have many scholarships, our class of Presidential Scholarships is administered by the Admissions office, and these scholarships are structured to award students for four consecutive fall and spring semesters,” said Amber McCown, director, Ģý Admissions. “The highest award amount is $10,000, which means students who receive that award would receive $2,500 per semester, which more than covers the cost of attendance for a two-year program. We also have shorter-term scholarships for students who have prior college credit to encourage degree completion.”
To be considered for Ģý institutional and presidential scholarships, students must apply to Ģý and receive a student ID number; complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year, provide any documents required for verification to the Ģý Financial Aid office, and submit a completed Ģý Scholarship Application each academic year.
The first round of scholarships will be awarded March 26 and will continue until all scholarships have been awarded. To view the full list of available scholarships or for information on how to apply, visit .
