Ģý Opens Corporate Training Center in Bonita Springs

Jan 7, 2019

JANUARY 3, 2019 – BONITA SPRINGS, FLA –Florida SouthWestern State College (Ģý) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony, opening the doors to its fifth location, the Ģý Corporate Training Center, at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14. The Ģý Corporate Training Center is located at 27400 Riverview Center Blvd., Suite 2, Bonita Springs.

The Ģý Corporate Training Center will provide a centralized location for Ģý’s corporate training initiatives, the Florida Flex Quick Response Training (QRT) and the Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) grants. It will also be the focal point for Ģý’s customized business training programs.

“Employee and workforce training is an essential part of economic development and provides a significant positive financial impact for our region and the state,” said Dr. Robert R. Jones, vice president for Economic Development and External Affairs. “This funding not only directly benefits the companies receiving training funds, but results in a local economic benefit as well.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Ģý to the Bonita Springs community,” said Tiffany Esposito, president, Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce. “While we have benefited from a regional partnership with Ģý for many years, this new, central location will give the business community access to unique education and training opportunities. The corporate training center adds to the economic development incentives we offer in the region and will allow us to continue to grow and strengthen the business community throughout Southwest Florida.”

Presently, Ģý’s corporate partnerships span the southwest Florida region with nearby Hertz and HERC, Arthrex to the south, and Cheney Brothers to the north. The Bonita Springs location was chosen because of its accessibility and proximity to US 41.

“With a majority of businesses we serve being located within 20-30 miles of Bonita Springs, the new location provides easy access to meeting space in a corporate setting, and allows for more Southwest Florida businesses to take advantage of our corporate training programs,” Dr. Jones said.
